Where I'm at !

I am feeling quite narfy today...fighting off a cold with a weak immune system takes more strength than I think I have..the girls went to church with Daddy,Nathan left early to help set up sound, Hannah is in bed with a very sore throat. She goes and goes and then wham, gets hit with whatever is floating around. Her Daddy will probably be taking her to Urgent Care later. I don't want strep floating around that is for sure!

I finished my book last night and came upon an AWESOME writing by Oswald Chambers that says it all for me right now. It sums up how I approach my God, how I am looking at this trial and how strong my God is to help. I pray it encourages you..so many of us are looking for the way out of troubles and pain we miss the very presence of God Himself, right there, willing to walk each step with us..

From My Utmost for His Highest, pg 215,

" An average view of the Christian life is that it means deliverance from trouble. It is deliverance IN trouble, which is very different...If you are a child of God, there certainly will be troubles to meet, but Jesus says do not be surprised when they come...
God does not give us overcoming life. He gives us life as we overcome. The strain is the strength. Are you asking God to give you life, liberty and joy? He cannot, unless you will accept the strain...Immediately you face the strain, you will get the strength..
God never gives strength for tomorrow, or for the next hour, but only for the strain of the minute..."

Pray I get stronger this week as I face chemo Friday.
Pray the germs will not overcome my body's ability to fight.

I am grateful for each one of you!
Blessings,
Bonnie

Hey Bonnie,
I hope you are feeling better just in time for the next round. Hope Hannah is feeling beeter too.

Were you able to go to your conference? I was wondering what you were doing at a Win Some Women conference. Seemed like an odd door prize. And then I realized that it was one word in which case you must have been the featured speaker. You are one of the most pleasant, charming and engaging persons that I have the privelege of knowing. You must have schooled them.

I love the pictures of the family. You make quite a cowgirl!! And Tim looks amazingly younger than the last time I saw you guys (must be God's grace). The girls are adorable. I can hear Hannah's calming voice, I can feel Thresa's fiestyness, and I always love that beautiful smile of Rachel's. Where's Nathan?

I love you guys and am praying for you. Dylan, Jackie and Collin say hi too.

Hi Bonnie, I don't know who Dylan is, but his comments made me smile. ;-) We are all waiting to hear how you are, and praying for good treatment days and perfect health. An update on you and your Mom's time away would be nice, too. Love and Blessings, Always, Mom
