Bound to happen

I was intent on finding garlic bread. The new super store in northern Petoskey was crammed with all sorts of people that did not look like "regulars." We affectionately call them "fudgies" because they come from all over and buy fudge...I still couldn't locate this loaf, it was supposed to be in a foil wrapper in the deli section.
I grab my cart and do the lead the cart by the side shuffle, all the while searching for this bread.
Then I hear, "SIR, SIR, that is MY cart."
Teresa said, "Mom, you have that guy's cart!"
Sure enough, I had committed the dopey shopper transgression of "Taking Someone Else's Cart and Moving It Far Enough To Feel Like A Fool!"
I've done it before but never been addressed as sir to correct it.

Ouch.

Mind you, I had on a hoodie, but good grief, I had on capris--you know, the pants that LADIES wear??

I knew it would happen sooner or later. After all, I am kind of flat on top. I've watched people this last month or so, now that it is warm enough for T shirts, I've caught people's eye as they stare at my chest....

I felt like crying actually. It adds salt to a wound that Jesus is still healing.

Tomorrow I go for my 3 month check up with my oncologist. Please pray for her to have wisdom and insight. After I get my blood drawn, I have an hour to kill.
I am going to check out bras with the fake you-know-whats..
I have always wondered what it is like to be an A ...
I have to have a little fun you know?
If you don't smile, you take this way too seriously..

A little flustered, I walked away with my own cart. I had Teresa push it.
I asked the store manager who just picked up his cell phone off the floor(in pieces)-Where is the garlic bread in the foil wrapper?
and he points to a shelf right beside me--"It's RIGHT there."

I hoped he would say ma'am after there, but he didn't.

I am going to take a nap!

Jesus knows who I am and so does my hubby and family and my friends.

He is faithful,

Bonnie

Oh dear friend, your honesty blesses my heart. I'm sorry you had a tough time--I sure hope the bread tasted good after all of that.

Wish I could be a "fudgie" for a day or two, and escape to Michigan, Home Sweet Home!

Praying that your appointment went well and that Jesus continues to heal your wounds, He is able.

Blessings from Texas--no fudge here . . .

Tina

But I had a good dinner awaiting me at home....

Wishing you could be a fudgie too!
