Great Things He has Done!

Here it is: God's provision for us. This is a 1997
Suburban, 113,000 miles, 4x4, leather interior, etc.

We had some work done yesterday; it was supposed to get maybe the front end aligned, some grease in the appropriate places..but it was ball joints, CVA axel shaft, sway bar link, idler arm and leaky valve stems on 3 out of 4 tires. I have no idea what those things are or even how they work but my husband does and he paid for it today..we are thankful, God does answer prayer.

I read a great article by Tony Snow, the former White House press secretary. He had colon cancer, went through surgery, endured chemo and two years later, the cancer came back. His words spoke my heart. It is powerful to see someone else share your thoughts and sentiments regarding cancer and how "having it" changes your life( for the better, though painfully so)

This is the first paragraph:
"Blessings arrive in unexpected packages-in my case, cancer. Those of us with potentially fatal diseases-and there are million in America today-find ourselves in the odd position of coping with our mortality while trying to fathom God's will. Although it would be the height of presumption to declare with confidence"What it All Means", Scripture provides powerful hints and consolations.
The first is that we shouldn't spend too much times trying to answer the "why" questions: Why me? Why must people suffer? Why can't someone else get sick? We can't answer such things and the questions themselves often are designed more to express our anguish than to solicit an an answer."

Ok. Two paragraphs..

As soon as I figure out how to put the full article on here, I will. Sorry, I am not computer savvy by any stretch.

I do not have chemo tomorrow!!

We meet with my oncologist the 28th. I cancelled my radiation appointment because they sent me the required reading for the first appointment. There would have been markings they would need to do, on the exact spots to receive the radiation. Since I don't know if I need it or not, it didn't make sense to get all the jazz that goes with it until I know for certain.

Don't worry, I am not endangering myself if I wait. They wouldn't do anything until January anyhow. The chemo has to be out of my body--that takes 30 days from November 30th.

I am feeling better. I had a massage yesterday and it really, really helped. 1 1/2 hours of pure bliss...

He is faithful,
Bonnie

So good to know the "new" car is in good working order! And that Tim knows what all those things are and can or arrange to have them taken care of.
Glad you were able to have the massage - they are indeed wonderful ;-).
I miss you when it's so long between posts. Guess I'm just selfish.
We got a bunch of snow last night. You probably have more!
Love you all, LOTS, Mom ;^)
