More cancer..

After Teresa and I prayed for Uncle Steve this morning on our walk, we got a call from him.
He had just seen the oncologist and he said the hot spot in his neck, where the former tumor was originally, was cancer. My heart sank. The good news is that the oncologist said it can be surgically removed this time, and he will not need chemotherapy or more radiation. I guess there is another hot spot in his shoulder, but it is also a shoulder that has had numerous injuries, so it may be scar tissue. That spot will be biopsied during the surgery as well. Target date for the surgery, which will be in Grand Rapids, in the next couple weeks. He sounded good and hopeful. Keep praying!!

I was feeling kind of numb this morning. I walked for about an hour, taking in the sun, the lizards scooting across my path, the water birds and looking for gators..
I prayed constantly..
when I got "home", my little niece came up to me and said "Hey Aunt Bonnie, "be joyful in everything and never stop praying" I Thessalonians 5: 16,17." It is her memory verse. I told her mine--we started this the first morning I was here...
The Lord used a precious six year old to minister His truth to my heart. It was as if a healing balm had been slathered all over my soul...

Thank You Father..

Then I got on my post from last time and read the comments.
I was given the words to Fanny Crosby's song, His Eye is On The Sparrow, so I sat here, singing it..I love that hymn!!
By the way, T, I knew you would love that birdie picture!!

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5: 16,17

He is faithful,
Bonnie

So sorry to hear Steve's news. So thankful for God's reassurance . . . especially when it comes from the mouths of babes. . . "be joyful in everything and never stop praying". Thank you Lord for ministering through Your little lamb.

May the Lord of all hold you ever close to Him. May He shine on you like the warm Florida sun!

Blessings~

Bonnie, I want to thank you and Hannah for helping me with the devotion I had tonight. It fit perfectly with the other scriptures. We prayed for Steve and for your Mom. Strength, courage and perfect healing. In Jesus name, Amen!

Everyone was amazed that a six year old had scripture verses.

Love and Blessings to all of you, Mom ;-)

These verses have given me comfort for my beloved children: "My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. (Prov. 3:1-2) [Bible notes says: fear of the Lord brings health to the body and prolongs life.] -- and "Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones." (Prov. 3:7-8)

I believe since we "keep His commandments" and that we "fear the Lord", the Lord will bring health to the body.... I am at peace and full of hope for both of
my beloved children.

Pastor Dave spoke this morning. It was an awesome worship time and message.

Praise God from Whom all blessings
flow!
Love you very much.
